Chief Constable Winton Keenen is looking to appoint a new Deputy Chief Constable.  Applications are invited from suitably qualified, substantive Assistant Chief Constables (ACC) ready for this rewarding but demanding position.

 

In this high profile and challenging role you will support the Chief Constable in leading Northumbria Police, embedding our vision and values to build public and organisational confidence to deliver an effective policing service. 

 

As Deputy Chief Constable you will be responsible for delivering a leadership culture that strives for sustained improvement within a supportive environment. 

 

You will be an experienced chief officer who has the enthusiasm, commitment and drive to shape the future direction of Northumbria Police.  You must be someone that can lead by example, taking ownership for performance and behaviours within the organisation.  Your ability to engage and inspire the workforce will be key to the delivery of a culture that promotes and enables wellbeing. 

 

You will be progressive and enable innovation to bring new ideas and thinking to Northumbria Police.  You will enhance service delivery through supporting effective and transparent leadership to ensure that protecting the vulnerable is at the centre of service delivery.
