The role:

Imagine helping to build the case and prepare the evidence that sees criminals face justice in court.

Our new Investigation Support Officer roles are a unique opportunity for police staff to play a key role in an investigation team alongside operational police officers.

You’ll be the go-to person for the officer in charge for admin support, helping to collate data and exhibits such as CCTV material and digital downloads. You’ll help to gather evidence that helps to detect and prevent crime, providing an effective service to victims, witnesses and the wider community.

In return for your dedication and experience, we offer 23 days’ leave, excluding bank holidays, increasing to 28 days for 5 years+ service. We support our people inside and out of work – offering a very competitive pension scheme, childcare vouchers, and discounts on shopping and eating out thanks to the Blue Light Card. And to take care of your physical and mental well-being, we’ve invested in extensive paid sick leave, trained mental health first aiders on-site, an employee advice service and access to gyms in some stations.

What will I be doing?

Providing administrative support, collating data and key pieces of information that will support the detection and prevention of crime.

Using your strong written and verbal communication skills to keep management up to date with your cases at all times.

Maintaining a high standard of information security and data management in line with legislative requirements.

What do I need?

A proven track record in interrogation of systems to provide information.
