Location – Middle Engine Lane
Contract Type – Fixed Term until Feb 2024
Hours – Part Time 
Salary Range - £19,146 - £19,704
 
This role will be working Monday/Tuesday either 8-4pm or 9-5pm. Please note the salary above is based on full time hours.

Our Business Support team keep things running smoothly for all of us here at Northumbria Police. They are a large team covering various services, including maintenance, health and safety, and supporting Front Line Policing. We’re looking for a Business Services Administrator to join us on an ongoing project in our busy Middle Engine Lane station. 
 
We are looking for someone with a variety of experience and skills, who is fantastically organised and able to work flexibly on different tasks. This is an enjoyable role where you’ll see different parts of how a Police Force operates, meet a variety of colleagues, and generally play an integral part in ensuring our officers and staff have the equipment and assistance they need. 
 
Your primary role will be working on a data transfer project, ensuring information is correctly inputted into our new Force systems. You’ll need to have a keen eye for detail and the confidence to use computer systems efficiently and effectively.  
 
What will I be doing? 
• Accurately transferring data and tracking this on spreadsheets
• Using several different computer systems to record important information
• Supporting colleagues with other general administrative duties – such as handling and sorting post, answering telephone calls, and assisting with queries
• Ordering stock, equipment, and uniform 
• Support with Health and Safety requirements
 
What do I need?
• Excellent administration skills and an ability to remain calm when under pressure
• Exceptional planning and organisation skills – you’ll need to evidence that you can deliver a high quality service to internal and external customers, as well as prioritising workload appropriately  
• The ability to problem solve and use initiative to make effective decisions independently
• You must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to communicate at all levels 
• Experience of databases, spread-sheets and working within a strong team working culture.
