Salary Range - £24,525 to
£26,565 (based on full time hours)

People Development underpins everything we do at Northumbria Police. It is responsible for creating a learning and development experience that reflects our vision and values, enabling us to deliver an outstanding policing service to the North East. We’ve got a fantastic opportunity to join our team, coordinating training in our Hydra facilities.
You’ll be designing, preparing and delivering immersive learning exercises through the training suite. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the learning of our officers and staff and is a role which links closely with operational policing. It is also a great development opportunity for anyone interested in working in policing, where you’ll get a fantastic insight into how scenario-based exercises prepare our colleagues for their roles.
What will I be doing?
- Managing the administration of the training calendar, ensuring required course bookings are planned and recorded
- Working with internal stakeholders to ensure new training is fit for purpose and can be delivered suitably
- Supporting with the delivery and facilitation of immersive learning
- Managing the flow of the immersive exercises, intervening when required and using technology to support delegates
- Operating hydra technology (don’t worry – we’ll be providing training on this bit if you haven’t used it before!)
- Review HYDRA course materials and exercises to ensure learning objectives are met and return on expectations is achieved
What essential skills do I need?
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders
- Strong administrative skills and the ability to plan your time effectively
- Confident in using technical systems
- Good analytical skills and the ability to assess a situation quickly
It would be great if you had experience in training delivery or design but it’s not essential, so we’d still be keen to hear from you. You may also need to travel throughout the force area, therefore a driving licence would be advantageous (but not essential)
