We’ve got a number of vacancies for customer service and administration personnel, to support our busy business support function. We are looking for individuals with a variety of experience and skills to join the team on a temporary basis until end of December 2021 initially. If you are organised, flexible and have excellent communications skills, we would like to hear from you.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get a taste for what it’s like to work in one of the biggest Police Forces in the UK and is a rewarding role where you’ll be valued for your contribution to Northumbria Police and the communities we serve. What do I need?

The roles we have available are varied and demanding but generally we are looking for people with the following skills – 

Excellent administration and organisational skills
Strong customer service skills to provide an exceptional service to internal and external customers 
The ability to work well within a team 
Outstanding communication skills – both via face to face and telephone
Great at building relationships with customers and colleagues

We’d love you to have experience of working with databases and spreadsheets but it’s not essential, so if you possess the above skills we’d still welcome your application. 

Opportunities may arise at short notice and could be full or part time hours based at various locations across the region. The department is currently under a review and the hours/roles within the department may be subject to change.

Vetting level:
Recruitment Vetting (RV)
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed. 
 
A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
