The role:
The Information Management Department at Northumbria Police are undertaking a significant programme to transform how data and records are managed across the Force to best service our communities. The purpose of this programme is to improve the management, indexing and access to both paper and electronic based documentation, alongside crime exhibits used for evidential purposes. You will join a hard-working, business focused team who will manage a varied workload.

What will I be doing?
Working as part of the Data Management and Assessment Team (DMAT) you will manage competing priorities in support of operational policing throughout the Force.
You will respond to internal and external enquiries, be able to communicate effectively at all levels, be confident when working as part of a team, be competent in dealing with force systems and flexible in relation to working locations.
You will be experienced in managing electronic records across a range of business areas.
You will be able to demonstrate experience in the Review, Retain and Disposal (RRD) of records with ongoing management and assessment of information and data assets.
Have experience in providing management information as required, attending meetings to support the provision of information, advice and guidance to interested parties engaged in or associated with specific projects.
What do I need?
First hand experience in managing complex data sets across a range of business areas, ideally with experience in working in the police service.
Experience in working with data protection legislation.
Experience of working successfully with key stakeholders.
Vetting level:
Recruitment Vetting (RV) Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed. A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
