Salary: £97,563 - £110,148
Northumbria Police is seeking to appoint an Assistant Chief Constable who is passionate about serving the communities of Northumbria and has the drive and enthusiasm to deliver the high levels of performance underpinning the Force’s vision to be outstanding in the service we provide. You will be pivotal in driving change whilst improving our service provision and developing effective and productive partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference, bring new ideas and fresh thinking and shape the future of policing in Northumbria. You will be a motivated and experienced senior officer who is able to play a leading role in continuing to improve performance across the entire organisation.
You will be an accredited strategic public order and firearms commander, adept in handling the media and with the necessary depth and breadth of operational experience to maintain Northumbria Police as a top performing force.
You will have the strategic and political acumen to contribute to the future direction and development of Northumbria Police and will possess a track record of driving significant change at strategic level. You will be dynamic and energetic, an inspirational leader who values people and ensures the development of others. You will lead by example and have the personal resilience to cope with complex and competing demands.
