The Role:

And to take care of your physical and mental well-being, we’ve invested in trained mental health first aiders on-site, an employee advice service and access to gyms in some stations.

You will be expected to co-ordinate and manage the ongoing accreditation for CSIU and FCI in order to achieve and maintain the appropriate ISO 17020 accreditation targets as set by the Forensic Science Regulator.  This will be achieved by undertaking the function of CSIU ISO Technical Manager.

You will act as Force Project Manager for Northumbria Police as we join the national Forensic Collision Investigation Network (FCIN) ensuring the force upholds its legal S22 obligations as active participants and ensuring the FCIU is operating a deployment model that is efficient and consistent.

You will be required to attend local, regional and national meeting and conference on behalf of Northumbria Police.
