What will I be doing?

Successful candidates will be deployed to either our Secondary Investigation Units, with hubs based across the force area, or a specilist department such as Safeguarding, dependent on experience. There are a number of shift patterns available, including day shifts. Any successful applicant will have a discussion with their SIU/department regarding what is available at their location as well as what suites their personal circumstances.

Applicants are advised that due to the nature of this work they will be dealing with disturbing material in the form of viewing, listening to interviews and reading material with distressing content.

What do I need?
Applicants must be accredited under the Professionalising Investigations Programme (College of Policing) to Level 2. Maintenance of this accreditation / competence requires demonstration of CPD against the recognised professional standards.

Successful candidates will have a detailed understanding of the criminal justice system and a thorough and meticulous approach to undertaking tasks.  They must have a proven ability to deliver within tight timescales and experience of interviewing suspects, victims and witnesses.
