The Role

This is a great opportunity to be a key worker as we are investing in our cleaning services and now have a number of opportunities available for cleaning staff, including supervisory positions.  If you’re interested in working for us within our Cleaning Services section we have vacancies in many different locations across the Northumbria Police area.

 

As a cleaner you are a vital and integral part of the team at Northumbria Police and we are looking for honest and trustworthy people who would be proud to work with us. You will be working behind the scenes in some of our operational police stations, community hubs and operational custody suites.

 

Full training will be given on all specialist equipment and materials that we use and your main duties will include maintaining the cleanliness with our wash rooms, kitchen areas and general office spaces to the high standards to ensure a safe and functional working environment.

  

Who we’re looking for…

If you take pride in what you do and a willingness to learn then we want to hear from you. You will be self-motivated and can work both alone and in a team, you will need a reasonable level of fitness and be punctual and reliable.  It would be great if you have an awareness of health and safety but this is not essential.
