People Development underpins

Within People Development Delivery,
our primary responsibility is in understanding what skills and capabilities are
required across the Force to deal with changing demands and community
priorities.
Our team is responsible for managing
the business delivery function of People Development, looking after our
ambitious development, and training plans and supporting how we budget. In
addition, we monitor and ensure the Force has the required number of
individuals trained with key skills and competencies by keeping effective
training profile records.

the best policing service, always underpinned by our force values and
behaviours.
In the People development delivery manager role you will have strategic oversight of resource
allocation, processes and procedures, risks and budgets. You
will lead the development of operational and business skills profiles and
oversee the People Development service and internal/external training delivery
plans, promoting continuous improvement, and driving change to ensure optimum service
delivery and a highly skilled and competent workforce.

We are looking for someone who can
demonstrate the following:

Educated
to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level
in business development/management or L&D
·
Strategic
thinking with ability to deliver organisational priorities and business goals
·
Significant
experience of in planning, managing and scheduling resources, estates and
assets to deliver effective and efficient services
·
Ability
to manage a large budget and resources within stated organisational and
procurement controls
·
Excellent
numerical and analytical skills
with ability to draw on quantitative and qualitative data from a range of
sources to inform plans, KPIs and direct improvement activity
·
Excellent
communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships,
demonstrating high level of professional credibility at all levels
·
Strong
customer focus with attention to detail and quality assurance
·
Experience
in leading and motivating effective teams
·
Be a solutions
finder with the ability
to understand and assimilate complex information, manage risks and generate
options and recommendations
A large number of the People
Development & People Services teams are currently working from home and in
future will have a blended approach to working which will incorporate home
working with some office-based engagements.
