An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Development Department as an Evaluation Coordinator for a fixed term period until 31 March 2020


This is an exciting time to join a team that leads on the research and analysis of business intelligence to ensure Northumbria Police achieves its vision to deliver an outstanding service. You will work closely with a range of officers and staff within Northumbria Police to identify what works and promote evidenced based policing.


Role:

You will drive evidenced based policing, improvement, innovation and transformation through the design and implementation of evaluation and research methodologies. You will work closely with internal customers and provide an independent assessment of activity. You will also work closely with universities and coordinate research and evaluation activity undertaken by them on behalf of Northumbria Police.


The successful candidate will:

·         Have a degree or the equivalent ·        

·         Have experience of monitoring and evaluation techniques and processes.

·         Have experience of developing appropriate methodologies for undertaking research.

·         Have demonstrable experience of both qualitative and quantitative social research techniques.

·         Have excellent communications skills, proven both in writing and verbally.

·         Be resilient and able to work to manage multiple evaluation projects and continue to deliver exceptional customer service

·         Have excellent and proven research skills.

·         Possess proven IT skills, with experience of developing, maintaining and manipulating large databases and using other analytical tools for research purposes.
