The role:
An opportunity has arisen to join the small team who provide support to the NERSOU Senior Management Team who are based in the Sunderland area.
The team provides a range of administrative and support services across NERSOU to support operational and business needs.

What will I be doing?
The main aspects of the role are:
• Provide a reception and telephone service as well as recording and welcoming visitors and attendees at meetings
• Provide a wide range of word processing duties to the Senior Management Team.
• Co-ordinate SMT diaries and collate relevant documents for meetings when required
• Open and sort both paper mail and action electronic mail from relevant mailboxes whilst adhering to force policies and procedures in relation to data protection and confidentiality
• Operate and maintain local computerised databases in support of the SMT.
• Process orders for travel, goods, equipment and supplies
• Minute taking and producing detailed reports.
What do I need?
• Be able to use and a good working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint in order to produce well-presented documents
• Be able to interrogate bespoke databases and systems when required
• Provide good communication in both verbal and written format
• Provide diary management support for the Senior Management Team
• Provide a customer focused service locally and ensure this is delivered to a high standard
Vetting level:
Management Vetting (MV)
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 5 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed. A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
