The role:
The Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) process within Northumbria Police brings together a range of partnership agencies that fully support and manage the risks posed by violent and sexual offenders within our communities as well as implement safeguarding strategies.

Opportunities have arisen within Safeguarding for the role of MOSOVO (Management of Sexual Offenders and Violent Offenders) Risk Management Officer.
 
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to liaise with Neighbourhood Policing Teams, Probation Service and other related agencies involved in the Risk Management of Registered Sex Offenders and Violent Offenders.

What will I be doing?
You will review and prepare relevant information and assist with the completion of Home Risk Reviews of Registered Sex Offenders.
 
You will collate and identify information to evaluate the level of risk posed to ensure that action is taken to mitigate and manage the risk posed through effective risk management plans.
 
You will provide advice to Neighbourhood Policing Teams in the completion of applications for Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.
 
What do I need?
You must have excellent communication skills.
You will evidence excellent planning and organisational skills.

Vetting level: 
Recruitment Vetting (RV) 
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.  A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
