Based at Bedlington

The role
You will administer all aspects of the application process and to undertake visits to applicants, to inform the decision making process for the licensing of firearms.

What will I be doing?
As the Firearms Licensing Administrative & Enquiry Officer you will be responsible for the assessment and scrutiny of Firearms Licensing applications. 

You will also be responsible for visiting applicants and certificate holders at their home addresses to interview them and inspect security arrangements in line with legislative guidelines.  
You will evaluate, assess information and applicants' behaviours to inform the decision making process.

What do I need?
Knowledge of  various computer applications and social media sites.   
You must possess good communication and organisation skills. 
You need to possess a full UK driving licence.

Vetting level: Recruitment Vetting (RV) 
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.  A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
