The role
As a Cleaner you are a vital and integral part of the Northumbria Police family and we are looking for individuals who share our core values and who would be proud to work as part of the Northumbria Police team. You will have the opportunity to work behind the scenes in some of our operational police stations, community hubs and operational custody suites, using specialist equipment.  It doesn’t matter if you’ve never worked as a Cleaner before as full training will be provided. What does matter to us the most is taking pride in what you do and a willingness to learn.

The main duties may include cleaning wash rooms and kitchen areas, vacuuming, mopping floors, emptying bins and other general office cleaning duties.  You will also be required to use specialist cleaning equipment, adhering to specified standards and ensuring a safe and functional working environment.  

What do I need?
It would be desirable to have an awareness of health and safety as well as the ability to work both alone and in a team, you will need a reasonable level of fitness and be punctual and reliable.

We offer a competitive hourly rate and you will be provided with a police staff uniform.
