The People Development team are instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of new student officers and operational training across the organisation, equipping our workforce with the learning and tools required to carry out their role.

We ensure that our high standards of excellence in learning and development are maintained. We aim to maximise the development of our people and ensure we have the right skills in the right place to meet policing demand, both now and looking ahead to the future.

There are also plenty of opportunities to get creative too! The team find innovative learning solutions that embrace modern technology and support new ways of working. Embedding a successful learning culture requires us to be curious and to challenge old ways of working, whilst bringing to life what learning could be. The team are ambassadors for change and continually aim to ensure learning methods remain current and responsive to changing demands and expectations. 

In the Design & Delivery learning advisor role you will focus on innovative learning solutions, to help us achieve our organisational priorities. Employee value is always at the forefront of what we do, so ensuring that our programmes are engaging, fit for purpose and supportive is key within this role. You will work with internal stakeholders of all ranks to understand the learning requirement and come up with a solution. Gathering all necessary data and intelligence and then present back your solution to the department.

 

You will be heavily involved in the creation of the solution using authoring tools like Articulate 360 as well as developing digital learning products.

 

There will be multiple ongoing projects so being able to manage your workload is essential.


Vetting level: Recruitment Vetting (RV) 
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.  A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references. 

A large number of the People Development & People Services teams are currently working from home and in future will have a blended approach to working which will incorporate home working with some office-based engagements.

In return for your dedication and experience, we offer 23 days’ leave, excluding bank holidays, increasing to 28 days for 5 years+ service.  We support our people inside and out of work – offering a very competitive pension scheme, childcare vouchers, and discounts on shopping and eating out thanks to the Blue Light Card.
