We’ve got a fantastic opportunity to join our People Development team as a Professional Development and Assessment Partner. This role is crucial in developing and managing people assessment frameworks to assess individual performance, skills and behaviours as well as future potential.

 

You will lead a team designing a wide range of assessment solutions including interviews, assessment centre exercises, online assessments, psychometric tools and professional feedback to support effective recruitment and selection, identify talent and increase professional development.

Your role will also be to lead the development and delivery of Performance & Development reviews and our promotion pathway assessments across the force, ensuring they are inclusive, objective and statistically valid.

 

A strong motivator, you’ll be able to communicate and influence stakeholders across the force in order to deliver fantastic results. You’ll be passionate about driving professional development and enjoy engaging others to do the same.

 

What do I need?

 

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Completion of, or actively working towards, the Qualification in Occupational Psychology (stage 2) or relevant work experience in this area
  • Excellent knowledge of assessment design including; Job Analysis Techniques; Psychometric and Situational Judgement Test design techniques; Exercise Design and Quality Assurance and Statistical Analysis
  • Experience in the design of a range of selection tools for both specialist and volume roles
  • Good knowledge of Performance Review systems in and experience of overseeing and co-ordinating delivery and outcomes
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills to partner to the organisation in identify skill, competency, behaviour and value requirements
  • An analytical thinker, able to interpret assessment results and measure the effectiveness of processes and outcomes
  • Experience in developing development assessment and evaluation skills in others
  • Strong evaluation skills, including experience in measuring effectiveness through KPIs to help inform success

Vetting level: Recruitment Vetting (RV)
