The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ICT Project Manager to join us at Northumbria Police, working on one of the biggest programmes of ICT change currently being undertaken in the North East.

At Northumbria Police, we are in the process of replacing our Police Operational System as we work towards delivering outstanding and innovative police services in the future.

We are embarking on an exciting journey, bringing in 2 new systems which will support the Force to deliver outstanding police services in the future.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join us and support us on this journey. You will be taking over from the current Project Manager who is moving to a new role elsewhere in the organisation but will be on hand to support you as you join the programme.

Working closely with the Programme Manager, you will work in a team of fellow Project Managers as we move towards implementing the new system.

In return for your dedication and experience, we offer 23 days’ leave, excluding bank holidays, increasing to 28 days for 5 years+ service.  We support our people inside and out of work – offering a very competitive pension scheme, childcare vouchers, and discounts on shopping and eating out thanks to the Blue Light Card. And to take care of your physical and mental well-being, we’ve invested in extensive paid sick leave, trained mental health first aiders on-site, an employee advice service and access to gyms in some stations.

Please note, that due to the current coronavirus pandemic, where appropriate, staff are working from home, with access to office space when required. Although mostly remote, you will be given a full and comprehensive induction and the relevant equipment to be able to work from home.
