Digital Forensic Unit Coordinator - JRN 20353
 

The role
 
The successful candidate will be required to provide a reception service and administration function for the Digital Forensic Unit (DFU). This will predominantly involve maintaining the DFU reception and storage areas and coordinating the receipt, movement and storage of all digital exhibits whilst ensuring they are recorded in accordance with Force policy and DFU quality management system.

What will I be doing?

The DFU Coordinator will be responsible for the supervision of 2 x Year in Industry Placement Students (YIIP) which operate in the reception area, coordinating daily duties and liaising with Universities in relation to the progress of YIIPs whilst in post. Annual recruitment processes will also be conducted in conjunction with HR.

Other duties such as the purchasing of supplies and operational items and the management of stock levels will be performed by the DFU Coordinator as will the direction of enquiries in line with customer requirements.

What do I need?
 
Although internal training will be provided, candidates will be expected to have computer literacy prior to taking up the role.
 
Qualifications / Experience
 
GCSE Maths and English required
Working Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
Administrative experience
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Good organisational skills
