You will have responsibility for case management including handling exhibits, gathering evidence, conducting interviews and taking witness statements in order to achieve the best evidence to progress investigations. You will be responsible for collating reports, outlining your findings and recommendations in each case.

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for conducting investigations in accordance with national legislative guidance surrounding complaint and conduct investigations. 
Work closely, where necessary, with the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). 
 
Assist and advise police officers and police staff in maintaining high standards and ensure continuous learning results from investigations. 

What do I need?

It would be preferable for applicants to have an investigative background. 

Attention to detail, accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for the role. The role requires an individual who is organised, methodical and works well to demanding deadlines. 

Travel throughout the force area is a requirement of the role therefore applicants must have a current full driving license.

Vetting level: Management Vetting (MV) 
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 5 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.  A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
