In the Leadership Development Adviser role you will focus on supporting the Leadership Development Partner through improving knowledge and skills of our workforce to best equip them in their roles, whilst ensuring our values and behaviours underpin it all. 

You will play a key part in the design, development and delivery of a range of leadership and development programmes and opportunities, thinking with innovation and creativity. 

Driving continuous improvement throughout our delivery of services, analysing data and putting in place, new ways of working.

Working closely with external parties, and the college of policing to understand more about opportunities and promotion of them within our Force

You’ll need the following essential skills and experience:

  • Experience in conducting learning needs analysis and developing proposals to meet return on expectations (ROE).
  • Proven experience of designing and delivering a range of leadership development interventions utilising innovative approaches to learning.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects with excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Impeccable communication skills and stakeholder management skills, both internally and with external providers.
  • Confident and experienced in delivery of training as well as facilitation skills.
  • Demonstratable experience of evaluating effectiveness of interventions to identify improvements and assess impact.
  • Strong focus on your own continuous professional development.

 Desirable skills

  • Experience in coaching and developing others.
  • Knowledge of current leadership development issues generally and in relation to policing.
  • L&D qualification.
