What will I be doing?

In the Higher Education & Standards Advisor you will focus primarily on supporting and co-ordinating the development and delivery of the force Policing and Education Qualifications Framework and related apprenticeships, whilst providing advice and guidance. You will also provide programme support and monitor progress and outcomes of PEQF, Higher Education programmes, bursary applications, and apprenticeships against core criteria. 

A large number of the People Development & People Services teams are currently working from home and in future will have a blended approach to working which will incorporate home working with some office-based engagements.

What essential skills do I need?

Experience in delivering and coordinating apprenticeship / higher education programmes. 
Experience within quality assurance. This includes inspection and audit activities to ensure all programmes and learning provision meet the required standards and inspection criteria.
Strong evaluation and data analysis skills
Experience of collaborative working, i.e. with finance teams and wider team
Impeccable communication skills and stakeholder management skills, both internally and with external providers 
Strong focus on your own continuous development
Excellent organisation and time management skills

Desirable skills
• Experience of quality assurance or inspections such as OFSTED and EFSA
Experience of mentoring and / or managing team members
Experience working within the public sector.
