Six Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH) have been created,with the objective of developing a holistic response to safeguarding which places vulnerable members of the community and their retrospective needs at the heart of service delivery.

Northumbria Police are committed in creating a culture and delivering services around safeguarding and vulnerability with the mind-set that ‘Safeguarding is everyone’s business.’

As part of this new approach we have an exciting opportunity as a MASH Manager within the Safeguarding Department.

As a Mash Manager you will provide leadership and direction to the teams within the MASH, leading on delivery and performance within the MASH, responsible for a team of police officers and police staff.

You will also be responsible for the operational planning and specialist capability of the MASH function across six local authorities ensuring we meet the demand and objectives of the organisation.

You will represent the organisation when liaising with partner agencies and will be able to evidence your excellent communication and relationship building skills.

You should be able to evidence previous experience as a team leader or manager for a period of three years.

Applicants must either have a degree qualification or five years relevant Safeguarding experience.
