Salary Range – £22,209

Location – Peterlee

 

This role is working 8am – 4pm.

Our Forensic Services team offer advice and guidance on all forensics issues, supporting investigations and ensuring analysis is up to date and robust. The intelligence provided significantly drives our vision to deliver an outstanding police service. Within the team, we have an opportunity to join us as a Support Services Administrator. 

 

You’ll be supporting the submission and processing of forensic exhibits and biometric samples, whilst undertaking a range of administrative duties. This is an important role where you’ll play an integral part in ensuring forensic exhibits are managed within legislative and contractual requirements.

 

What will I be doing?

 

·         Supporting officers with all aspects of forensic submissions including procedures, paperwork, and packaging to ensure safe storage and the utmost integrity

·         Ensuring administrative duties are carried out and force procedures are followed

·         Processing DNA samples

·         Accurately recording data in force systems

·         Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to support effective partnership working

·         Ensuring you are up to date with internal, national and legislative changes in order to provide effective support to the criminal justice system

 

What skills will I need?

 

·         Prior experience in an administrative role

·         A strong ability to plan and prioritise workload

·         Good team working skills

·         Basic IT skills

·         Excellent communication skills

·         A strong level of integrity and confidentiality
