The role:

People Development Department are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, enthusiastic and resilient individual to assist in proving forensic training and awareness across the organisation.

What will I be doing?
The purpose of the role is to design and develop scientific learning and development programmes and solutions that will ensure all staff are appropriately skilled and confident to fulfil the forensic science provision at the level required as part of their role.
 
To deliver inputs to groups and contribute to learning inputs to ensure training provided supports the force’s strategic priorities.
 
To assess individual and group learning achievements in order to determine knowledge and skills gaps to ensure successful delivery that results in high levels of satisfaction and competency that complies with the required investigative standards.
 
To develop frameworks that support continuous professional development through opportunities such as coaching and mentoring in order to achieve professional status and retention of skills.
 
The post holder will also be expected to support the identification, development and coordination of the training provision for operational officers and staff to enhance traditional and forensic awareness and ensure the preservation of crime scenes.

What do I need?
The work the post holder will undertake will be demanding yet rewarding as the incumbent will be developing investigative standards in respect of forensics across the organisation. Personal resilience is a key requirement as is the ability to perform tasks to a high standard even when working under pressure. 
 
The applicant will be expected to work towards a level 4 qualification in Learning & Development if they do not already hold this or a higher qualification. 
 
The hours of work associated with the role will be Monday to Friday ‘office hours’.
